Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Story:
You play as two new recruits who are about to fight in Russia and Afganistan. You shoot through cities, snow and villiages. Finally one of the generals betrays you, you meet up with old friends and stop the war.
Weapons:
There is a wide range of weapons to choose from, the animations are perfect on each of them. Carbines, grenade launchers, heartbeat sensors, smoke grenades, knives.
Graphics:
This game looks amazing, but what doesn't these days? The explosions look good, as well as the blood effects.
Characters:
Although most people think these types of games are generic war fighting games with 0 story, there is lots of depth in this one. You meet a character from the last game during the final missions and fight with them. Also the protagonist from the last game, is your sargeant in this one.
Play time:
Short game, not including the multiplayer. About 8 hours on a hard difficulty. The online makes up for that though.
Multiplayer:
Slightly dissapointing compared to the first and World at War. It's still good, but the non-linear maps are very hard to play.
The shock mission:
It's not as bad after you've played it a few times. The first time playing, I felt a little sick... but it's only a game after all. Here is a video, to show you what the mission is like.
Overall:
tl;dr
Good game overall, stunning graphics, great guns and general weaponry.
Very overrated, don't buy unless you are 90% sure you will enjoy playing.
Score:
9 / 10

I have actually seen quite a few vids of that 'shocking mission' and I don't see what the problem is. They even give you a SKIP option at the very start. Oh and... if your character dies after that mission... doesn't that mean you really play as one recruit and that's it.

He doesn't die at the end of the mission. He is just badly wounded.
I'll let you play that mission at mine, it does give you a skip option. But we all know playing and watching videos of games is very different.

Unfortunately for the uneducated and generally moronic, killing unarmed virtual civilians is not allowed because it will encourage the teenagers who play this game to relive the scenarios themselves.
Yes, I can totally see the average gaming teenager getting a gun and wasting a lot of civilians.

And the shock mission. So? I felt no pain. I quite enjoyed it. ( Your karma has dropped below 9000!)

You should feel bad about killing nameless civilians!

I felt no sympathy. I didn't even know it was the offensive mission
